I have many people to thank for help over the years. I would never be able to thank you all individually but you know who I mean!

Welcome to the all new Holden Heaven
This site was first established in 1999
EH S4 sedan (179M)
The EH was using an all new engine which was dubbed "Red Motor" as opposed to the earlier "Grey Motor". It boasted a big increase in cubic capacity and came for the first time in two sizes, 149ci and 179ci. The later being used in the sports version of the EH which was called S4 (179M). This was the only factory 179ci EH with manual gearbox as standard equipment at launch time.  Only 120 of these were made and had enhanced running gear which included a heavier clutch, tailshaft, diff and brakes. Along with the larger fuel tank these mild modifications allowed the S4 take 5 of the top 10 places in the 1963 Bathurst enduro with 2nd place being the best finishing position. Blueprinting engines was an additional way of gaining reliability and horsepower as it removed flaws in the mass produced components and helped balance and strengthen other pieces.  These should be done to any engine that is going to be raced or driven hard.
